Introduction
Your natal horoscope, or birth chart, is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment you were born. It shows what the sky actually looked like at the time and place of your birth. Astrology in modern times has renewed the ancient discovery that the symbolism of the planets that surrounded you at birth describes your character and personality. Planets that were directly overhead at the time and place of your birth are most important, and would appear at the very top of the chart or the Midheaven. Planets that were just rising above the horizon in the East at the time of your birth would appear near the horizontal line at the left hand side of the chart or the Ascendant. If the Sun appears in the top half of the chart, then you were born during daylight hours and have a more outer directed personality. All of these features reflect the factors at play in the Universe at the moment of your birth and are significant indications of the basic qualities and tendencies that continue to make up your personality.
Mercury in Gemini gives a keen, alert and expressive mentality. You have great versatility, and can take up many different skills. You love variety in your life. You are constantly perceiving the world around you, and relaying your perceptions to your mind. You approach mental pursuits in an intellectual rather than a practical way, and tend to prefer breadth in these matters to depth. You speak rapidly and well, and enjoy conversation with many different types of people. You are restless and can be prone to anxiety. Beware of stress to your nerves. It is beneficial for you
Mercury in the Seventh House represents a strong mental connection to other people. You naturally collect and exchange ideas with those you find yourself in partnership with. You are very interested in what other people think about any given situation in which you find yourself. Intellectual expression is for you a very natural medium of relatedness. This awareness of other's points of view can make it difficult for you to come to a decision. When you learn to detach your own ideas from those of other people, you can begin to discover the mysterious balancing act of accepting the differences between self and other.
Moon in Pisces (1° Pis 59' 10")/Moon in the Fourth House
Angular planet - conjunct Nadir
The Moon in Pisces gives a sweet and gentle nature. You are visionary and poetic, and very sensitive to spiritual values. You are compassionate and empathetic with other people. You may be something of a dreamer, and you may feel the need to escape at times, for the real world seems too cruel and unkind. You have great sympathy for the down-trodden and disadvantaged. You may experience some suffering through your emotions, especially if your inner needs are not being met. You also have a tendency to be easily swayed by others. It is very important that you be true to yourself, and to your inner process of striving toward spiritual understanding and the gift of sympathy toward your fellow-beings.
The Moon in the Fourth House represents an emotional sensitivity with issues of home life and the way you care for those close to you in your environment. You are naturally domestic. You are very connected with the need to feel that you are in an environment which feels like home. You tend to be sentimental toward your family and close friends. You tend to select people around you who feel like family in some way or another. You may be possessive of your emotional attachments and can seem self-centered at times. You may sometimes withdraw into your own self as a way to create a more secure home base within yourself when you are not emotionally satisfied. You feel the need deep inside for a permanent home base. You are attached to possessions and hold onto what you have. Though you feel a need for a stable home, you may have changes of residences in your search for a secure and comfortable habitat. You also tend to hold onto your feelings. You need a creative outlet in which you can talk, write, or artistically express in order to release your deep emotions.
T-Square, focal planet Uranus
You have a T-Square in your chart. With this planetary aspect pattern, in which three planets or conjunctions are in square with one another, you have a high degree of motivation and drive. Your energies are most easily and habitually expressed by the energy of the focal point, the middle of the T-Square. You may also compensate for overdoing in the area of life represented by the focal point, by leaning toward the empty pattern element opposite the focal point, seeking to balance your activity. The lesson of this planetary aspect pattern is in learning to use your considerable energy wisely in the pursuit of your true goals. There is great tension represented by the focal planet or planets in your chart, where conflicting parts of your personality attain their focus and peak of energy, and you may observe compulsive behavior in the area of life represented here.
Uranus in the Ninth House (or sign) gives an individual with an original and inventive mind, strong intuitive powers, and a love of philosophy and higher learning. With this placement you have definite religious, or quasi-religious beliefs, and these are usually expressed in an unconventional manner. You have a visionary sense of optimism and possess high ideals, and you are also apt to be nervous, or high-strung, and perhaps inclined to reckless behavior. You like to explore new perspectives, either mentally or through travel. You bring your own unique viewpoint to educational or pedagogical concerns, and may be an inspiring teacher. You can also be the rebellious type, as you have the capacity to visualize new possibilities rather than accept an outmoded status quo. For you, the horizon line does not remain fixed, but is always moving forward into new territory. At your best, you have the faith to bring forth a new vision for yourself and society at large.
The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:
Uranus in Leo (or the fifth house) gives a rebellious individual with a strong will. With this placement you tend to be determined to get your own way. You are reckless, original, and independent, and like to assert yourself. You can be very creative, especially in the arts. Whatever form your self-expression takes, it is likely to evoke you and no one else. Your unique viewpoint contributes to the potential for new genres and methods of accomplishment to come into being. Your approach to romance may also be different from the run of the mill. You may find yourself in unconventional in love affairs, perhaps with sudden beginnings or endings. Children are a source of great interest but you may have difficulties in giving them warmth and affection. You benefit from learning the joy that comes from a more heart-centered approach. You also benefit from more follow-through, focus and self-discipline, in order to successfully complete what is started.
Neptune in the Twelfth House (or sign) gives a gentle compassionate and loving personality. You are extremely sensitive, and may not feel comfortably at home in the physical. You are able to sense otherworldly influences, which may be more present to you than the mundane world of ordinary reality, and you may receive psychic information through these channels. Idealistic and selfsacrificing, you experience a spiritual longing for connection with numinous realms beyond this earthly plane of existence, and you may therefore withdraw periodically from the here and now into a world of imagination and fantasy. You are apt to have a passion for movies or fiction. The influence of the past, as well as the influence of your own unconscious process, is especially strong in you. You find happiness when you connect with your higher self. You function at your best when in service to the world, helping to move it closer to interconnectedness, in keeping with your fundamental vision of spiritual union among all mankind.
The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:
Neptune in Scorpio (or the eighth house) gives an individual with great personal magnetism. You have a subtle intuition and an unusually clear insight into the motivations of others. You also may unconsciously try to control other people, or act in somewhat unreliable ways. You have an ideal of self-sacrifice in partnership with others, and tend to give more than you receive, which can lead in the end to resentment on your part, or just disappearing. Otherworldly affairs may interest you more than everyday ones, and you may be drawn to psychic matters or occult studies. Your dreams are very important to you, and through them you may learn significant information. You are likely to possess an enjoyment of sensual pleasures or luxuries. You may also have some confusion regarding sexuality and with what you truly desire from relationships. You benefit from bringing greater clarity to your personal values, your relation to the material world and to other people.
Mars in the Fifth House (or sign) gives an energetic and passionate nature. You are dramatic, enthusiastic, ambitious and proud, with tremendous vitality and courage. You usually put your best foot forward, being possessed of an innate charm and animal magnetism that other people immediately recognize. You have strong opinions and are not shy in voicing them, and may have a tendency to be extremely stubborn and convinced of your own point of view. You are likely to be physically quite active. There is a creative streak in you that must find its outlet, or you will suffer from energy sublimated into anger or unnecessary aggression, for the urge is strong to produce works of art or commerce that are uniquely yours, the fit expression of your ego. You may need to work through being selfish, or jealous of the success of those around you. You benefit from initiating a spirit of greater concern for others.
Mars in Aries (or the first house) gives an independent and positive nature, and an outwardly directed and ambitious orientation. You possess great strength of character as well as an inordinate degree of self-assertion. You are a formidable adversary, tending to react aggressively when threatened. You are extremely courageous and enthusiastic, traits that will take you far in life, but you may need to work on a tendency of being quick to anger and you can behave impulsively at times. You may also cause trouble for yourself by being unwilling to give way and make concessions, especially if Mars is afflicted in your chart by challenging planetary aspects. It benefits you to learn the art of compromise. You can also benefit from cultivating patience and tolerance to offset your occasional short temper. You will gain in the long run when you practice self-control and display a great degree of unselfishness in your dealings with others.
Important Features
Pluto in Leo (29° Leo 58')/Pluto in the Tenth House
Ruler of rising sign
Pluto in the Tenth House (or sign) gives you a forceful personality with a focus on issues of authority, power and control. You may in fact have a compulsion for control manifesting in difficulties with interpersonal relations or in rebellious attitudes toward established authority, or perhaps resulting in the charismatic personal magnetism of a natural leader. You may go through many changes in the course of pursuing your work in the world. You are a real powerhouse of energy, and enjoy being in charge, perhaps as a compensation for having felt overly controlled in your early encounters with authority figures. Your mother or your opposite sex parent was perhaps experienced as controlling, and you may have felt stifled in the individual expression of your self-hood. These early experiences are apt to give you a knee-jerk reaction to authority figures in your more mature manifestation based on unconscious impulses of fear and resentment. You might look to situations when you are fully in control as safe for you, and seek them out in your employment, such as being a self-starter or your own boss. You may, however, have difficulties maintaining a position of authority, once achieved. What is needed is a reevaluation and transformation of your urge for authority and control, based on a deeper understanding of yourself and a more conscious and socially responsible use of personal power.
The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:
Pluto in Leo (or the fifth house) gives you a tremendous desire to be recognized and admired. You may feel a compulsion toward self-aggrandizement, or have underlying feelings of insecurity leading to self-centered and ego-oriented behavior. You are an essentially dynamic and charismatic individual with a strong need to make an impact on the world around you. You may find much to admire in the acting and artistic professions, and find your own creative outlet there, although you are likely to go through many changes and challenges in putting yourself forward in a way that truly serves as an expression of your highest purpose for yourself. If you have children you may seek to live your life through them, and experience the twists and turns of fate as you come to recognize some of your own unconscious impulses acting themselves out in this regard. Your desire for personal reputation may also be thwarted, but this can lead to benefits for you, by forcing you to re-evaluate your need to achieve. Transformation in this area is quite possible, as you learn how to work with your personal power in more constructive ways. By embodying the more positive form of your creative energy, and thereby expressing your deepest truth, you can perform an important service for yourself and society.
Chiron in Aquarius (22° Aqu 40'R)/Chiron in the Third House
Angular planet - conjunct Nadir
Chiron in the Third House (or sign) represents issues regarding developing one's intellect and communicating one's ideas with others. With this placement you may feel an almost compulsive curiosity regarding other people. Your desire is strong to communicate and to explore your world intellectually, but you may feel some kind of barrier that separates you from others at the same time. These feelings of being blocked in your ability to communicate and to get your point across can even manifest physically as a form of stuttering, or another ailment that prevents clear communication. These may seem physical, but the physical and the mental are so intimately related it really is hard to say. If there is a psychological reason behind difficulties in communicating with others, it is likely to be found in early youth, when it was quite important to communicate with your peers. Perhaps there was some group that you felt cut off from in the casual cruelty of that era, or perhaps you felt that you were not fully accepted by important siblings. In your efforts to be accepted and to get through to others you may overcompensate by seeming very competitive or desiring to be recognized for the extent of your knowledge. Whatever the childhood trauma that continues to give you difficulties in adult life, it is important to try to understand and relate well to your earlier self. If you can learn to love and accept who you were then, as well as who you are today, you will come a long way toward full participation in your communication with others. In your quest for wholeness it is quite possible that you will be drawn to helping others to communicate, perhaps taking on the role of a speech therapist or other helping person in other people's lives. As you begin to fully accept yourself you will be even more able to help others in their particular road to fulfillment also.
The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:
Chiron in Aquarius (or the Eleventh House) represents issues with one's vital force to belong, to function as part of a group consciousness, and to integrate with the human family. With this placement, you may be vulnerable to losing your personal identity to a group cause or belief system. You are both attracted to membership in groups or social organizations and have somewhat painful realizations surrounding these types of activities. It may be that membership in a group or "in-crowd" was denied you in your youth. It may be that parental influences or the influence of a parental-like authority figure tended to force you in a particular direction that you had no real calling for, perhaps the common ideals of consensus reality, and you were left with the painful decision of which to abandon, your parental guidepost, or your own true self. In time you can come to yourself as you begin placing more importance on creating interpersonal friendships which are true to your actual ideals rather than the common ideals of the collective. It takes time to develop the understanding of who we really are at a deep level. It may be the only worthwhile undertaking. At any rate you are one who is particularly called to work out your own future, to become truly self-determined, independent of the strictures of society. It is possible that you are truly called to become an exemplar of a particular group ideal that is just breaking into the awareness of the world at large; your path may be to quite uniquely go where no (wo)man has gone before. This can be a lonely road, and you may find that it takes many trials and tribulations along the way before you begin to realize your true potential. It is not surprising that someone with such a mission in life might quail before the prospect, and there are undoubtedly great feelings of ambivalence you will have to deal with, especially in your early years, while you are still evolving. The gold at the end of this particular rainbow is worth the effort.
Jupiter in Libra (21° Lib 56'R)/Jupiter in the Eleventh House
Jupiter in the Eleventh House (or sign) gives you a socially conscious and scientifically-minded personality. You are an individual who works well with groups, very high-minded with strong humanitarian ideals. You are inventive and original, and are able to motivate others by your example. You make a good diplomat or politician. You don't value security on a personal level, but focus your ideals on the betterment of society, with a value-system that is uniquely yours. You have firmly in mind your concept of the finest possibilities for the social matrix that surrounds you. You may be seen as a bit eccentric as you are someone who marches to the beat of your own drum. You are humane and just, and have very high principles, but you may envision possibilities too vast to be achieved, and benefit from cultivating a more practical approach in some circumstances.
Jupiter in Libra (or the seventh house) gives you a refined and idealistic nature. You are easily influenced by others, and may have great difficulty in making a decision, especially when you start to take into consideration all of the possibilities that suggest themselves to you. You work well with other people, and are known for your fairness. You will always champion both sides of a dispute and make sure that the underdog has his say. You are thoughtful and diplomatic and make a good lawyer. You are also likely to be very social and attractive to others. Other people matter to you in an extraordinary way, which can be both a blessing and a curse. You are a great lover of art and beauty wherever you find it, but you may tend to scatter your focus, and could benefit from more firmly concentrating your energies to serve your own inner motivation.
Saturn in Sagittarius (22° Sag 52'R) / Saturn in the Second House
Saturn in the Second House (or sign) gives great loyalty, reliability, stamina and persistence, and a deepening or concentration of the desire to possess, both materially and with respect to loved ones. You are conservative financially, and feel that it is important to hold on to what you've got. You may be jealous at times. You may have doubts regarding your self-worth, or the basis of your security in this world. You tend to be traditional in your approach to life. You are a lover of art as well as natural beauty, and this love extends to the beauty of your surroundings. You perhaps have a tendency to overrate the importance of material things. You may fear poverty or losing your possessions and this fear can also manifest as a desire for more and more which can never be satisfied. On the other hand you may try to deny the material in an over-zealous attack on "money as the root of all evil." Your lesson is to find your own true inner worth in terms of your character, your high standards, and your service to others.
The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:
Saturn in Sagittarius (or the ninth house) gives an educated and philosophically active mentality, with a deepening and a concentration, or a blockage, in the area of higher learning and expansion into new horizons. You are courageous in expressing your opinion, have a keen intuition and make a good teacher. Your early beliefs may be characterized by adhering too strictly to a dogmatic and rigid set of principles, but you grow into a more mature wisdom in your later years. You likely have a need for physical exercise. You make a good teacher, and may also feel a calling to work with the disadvantaged. While open and honest, and intent on expressing your point of view, you may also doubt yourself in this area, seeming indecisive or rebellious. Your goals are mental and spiritual, rather than material, and you may search for a new framework of moral or spiritual values, rather than adopt existing outworn belief systems. Your lesson is to eventually come to the realization that the true source of moral and ethical valuation lies within yourself.
Sun in Gemini (16° Gem 40' 38") / Sun in the Eighth House
The Sun represents your will and purpose, your sense of vitality, and your evolving higher Self. In Gemini it is Mutable-Air, and rules the arms, the shoulders and the lungs. Your ruling planet is Mercury. Gemini is the sign associated with communication, logical thought processes (based on duality) and the conscious mind. Gemini people tend to be airy and intellectual, glib of tongue and curious about life and other people. You can experience two sides of things at the same time, and you may tend to be flighty. You move through life like a butterfly, engaging in many varied experiences to gain knowledge. You are witty and have a good sense of humor, and you are likely to be an excellent conversationalist. You make a good teacher. You can be nervous and high-strung, and may be mischievous. Unlike possessive Taurus, you tend toward liberty in relationship. You can be easily bored, but under the control of self-discipline you have tremendous intellectual and artistic possibilities.
The Sun in the Eighth House represents a concentration of the vital force to transform and regenerate, and to relate with others intimately. You enjoy the intensity of the human animal. It is your nature to marry sensitive perception with experience. Through your understanding of your inner self, you easily perceive the motives of those around you. You penetrate every variation of deep emotion in order to confront your own nature. You act from a primal urge to merge with others, and to partake in the sacred and secret relationships between yourself and the world. Through merging with others at the depths of human experience, you investigate your own emotional desires. You are very aware of fathomless human needs through your deep knowledge of the instinctual level of interrelation, and the fear of loss, or death. Your aim is to metamorphose yourself in order to experientially manifest the cycles of death and rebirth from within your own inner world. You benefit when you experiment with and confront your fears and insecurities in healthy ways, around people who support your need to grow intensely, in order for you to maintain an ever-expanding boundary of security.
Angular Planets
Sun, Moon, Rising Sign Features
Scorpio Rising
The Rising Sign is the mask shown to others, also the physical appearance.
Scorpio rising people are passionate and deep and can be secretive. Your ruling planets are Mars and Pluto. You can have a dark look to your appearance, but you may also appear sweet and refreshingly innocent. Scorpio is the most intense sign of the Zodiac, and is associated with sexual activity and with the symbolism of death and rebirth. Your emotions run deep, and you also have great personal magnetism, and even the power to coerce others. Your will is strong, and you let nothing stand in your way. You may suffer in your life, but your pain leads to important personal transformation. You are very good at group dynamics, and working with the public. You are a shrewd judge of other people's motives, and you may be willing to use your special knowledge to your own advantage. Although you can be manipulative, when you work out your issues to be more in line with your own higher nature you have also the power of a healer, to transform yourself, and society around you.
Sun in inconjunct (exact) with Ascendant
The planetary energies do not flow smoothly, one or the other predominates; discrimination must be employed.
This aspect between the Sun and Ascendant gives a strong-willed and generous personality. You are dramatic and assertive, also creative, self-confident and more than a bit self-indulgent. Like Leo rising people you expect to be the center of attention, and often are. You also have great energy, courage and honesty and are very proud. Your challenge is to become more aware of yourself; to refrain from arrogance and egotism, and rather to develop humility and compassion, and to learn detachment in the gift of your affections.
Chiron in square (within 6.0 degrees) with Ascendant
The planetary energies conflict; internal and creative tensions bring rich rewards through effort over time.
With this aspect between Chiron and the Ascendant in your chart you are likely to experience painful realizations throughout your own life and have the ability to heal others as well. Chiron is called "the wounded healer" because it represents the archetype of imperfection and loss which when integrated leads to compassion and understanding of others' suffering. The empathy and the understanding that are gained through life's trials provide the ability to serve as a helper and a healer for others. You are more invested in this archetype than most, since Chiron is in a powerful connection with your rising point, symbolizing the self that you present to the world, esoterically your true self. You have probably experienced pain and frustration related to your self-concept, or there could have been trauma in your early years concerning parental protection which may have been withdrawn too suddenly or misapplied, or perhaps similar issues with your peers. These early experiences may have made it hard to accept the love of others in your adult life. It is good to make the effort to connect yourself consciously with any painful events that may be buried in your unconscious, so that these will no longer have so much power over you. Since you have a great deal compassion and empathy for others you are likely to be someone with career possibilities in the helping professions. You may strongly desire to help other people, and yet be unable to give them the full benefit of your higher self. It is good to integrate your past experiences, no matter how painful they may have been, and no matter how painful these feelings continue to be for you in adult life. Pluto in strong conjunction (within 0.2 degrees) with Midheaven
The strongest blend of the energies represented by these two planets.
This conjunction gives a forceful personality with a strong focus on issues of authority, power and control. There may in fact be a compulsion for control manifesting in problems with interpersonal relations or in rebellious attitudes toward established authority, or perhaps in the charismatic personal magnetism of the born leader. You have a natural tendency to seek to be in a position of authority. There are however likely to be difficulties inherent in maintaining a position of authority, once achieved. What is needed is a reevaluation and transformation of the urge for power and control, based on a deeper understanding of personal power and a more conscious and socially responsible use of it.

The planetary energies conflict; internal and creative tensions bring rich rewards through effort over time.
This aspect gives a sharp and penetrating mind, together with unusually clear and direct communication skills. You are likely to be quite interested in the occult, or other hidden and potentially taboo areas of thought. As a matter of fact, you tend to see into the deeper aspects of any subject matter that you might single out for study, and are able to discourse forcefully upon it. You may however become so focused on the emotional charge with which you hold these ideas that you lose a certain sense of perspective regarding them. In other words, you can be compulsively attached to your communication or the results of your mental process, so that there is a danger that you may feel yourself to be correct in what you say in spite of what others may think. You might also need to be aware of a tendency to be manipulative in your dealings with other people, since you have a forceful will in association with your powers of speech and communication. You can be a great source of inspiration when you use your powers of insight and expression responsibly, enabling you to share your gift with humanity.
Mars in inconjunct (within 0.5 degrees) with Pluto
The planetary energies do not flow smoothly, one or the other predominates; discrimination must be employed.
This aspect gives a personality with a tremendous drive for power and transformation of self. You are strong-willed almost to the point of ruthlessness, and you have enormous energy and endurance at your disposal. You may appear timid or unsure of yourself, since the power urge is commonly repressed, but then there is the potential for sudden bursts of anger due to the repressed emotion finally exploding to the surface. You may also have feelings of insecurity that are compensated for by being overly forceful, acting compulsively or even becoming obsessive about achieving your will. In a more positive manifestation, you can exhibit a dedication to higher ideals and a willingness to be a channel for healing yourself and society. The challenge is movement away from feelings of insecurity and resulting separateness and loneliness, toward a better acceptance of other's needs and opinions in order to generate wholeness, forgiveness towards self and others, and a new and better sense of self-worth.

N Node in Scorpio (0° Sco 11'R) /N Node in the Twelfth House
Lunar North Node in the Twelfth House (or sign). South Node in the sixth house or sign. This placement gives you a personality with a focus on spiritual rather than worldly concerns. Although the practical matters of everyday life come easily to you, you do not find your true happiness in the pursuit of mundane affairs, but seek constantly to expand your horizons mentally and spiritually to a larger and more inclusive context. This may be difficult, for the pull of everyday life is very strong in you, and in many ways it is what you do best. In the past, or in previous lifetimes, you made your focus in refining your abilities in the practical world. At that time you dealt mainly with issues of personal health, or of the welfare of others in small but important ways. Now, in this lifetime, your focus gradually shifts to a higher plane of activity. You find your true happiness not so much in day-today routine, but in sacrificing yourself to a higher purpose, to advancing beyond the material world, with a disregard for your own well being. You find yourself going deep within yourself to bring forth a renewed understanding of how to serve others by giving up your personal ego-involvement in your actions, as you become an exemplar of a more spiritually based society, in helping others with true compassion.
Lunar North Node in Scorpio (or the eighth house). South Node in the second house or sign. This placement gives a focus on personal transformation, and on deeply felt relationship with other people. In the past, or in previous lifetimes, you paid a great deal of attention to ownership of property and material things. You need to gradually let go of these attachments in the course of this lifetime. This may prove difficult for you, especially if you have strong conjunctions between the South Node and other planets. As your life unfolds, you may develop an interest in occult science. Your focus as you mature will be more and more on how you can be helpful to others in your relationships with them, and less and less on status, prestige and the accumulation of riches or physical security. The sexual act itself can become a basis for your security, and therefore transformative as you relate to others in a deeper and more spiritual way. Your evolutionary payoff comes from letting go of the material world in to order to accept the deep and universal connection with others that is the root truth of the social condition, recognizing that, beyond the material world, you are part of a much larger context.
